100 Year Old Practice Review
This Medical Practice is an accredited, fully computerised practice situated in the heart of Warwick about 2 hours from the centre of Brisbane or the Gold Coast. We have very recently been sold due to the owners health issues however he is continuing to work in the practice 2 days a week, providing assistance where required.
We are very experienced, highly-regarded and has friendly nursing and administration staff. It has well equipped air conditioned facilities with large and comfortable consulting rooms in a well maintained and presented building. There is an emphasis on a congenial working environment.
The nursing and administration staff are friendly, loyal and dedicated to supporting GPs in providing quality patient healthcare. The practice employs 3 part time immunisation endorsed nurses, ensuring continuous RN support. There are 5 consultation rooms and a well appointed treatment room. There are 2 reception stations and 4 part time reception staff. The practice works on a mixed billing basis with BB at the discretion of the GP. Services offered at this practice range from routine consultation, minor surgical procedures, womens health, child health and pre-employment examinations. They have on-site facilities such as ECG, spirometry and audiometry and access to a wide variety of allied health professionals in town.
A medical clinic has operated from these rooms for over 100 years, and currently services a wide array of demographics including many elderly patients. Off site health care is provided to residents at the nearby aged care facilities and to the clinics patients admitted to the hospital.
Our doctors have an interest in and run Skin Cancer, Womens Health, Counselling and Complementary Medicine Clinics.
Warwick is a friendly city, progressive yet without the hustle and bustle of a capital city – a great place for families. Warwick has all the major banks, state and private primary and secondary schooling to year 12, many sporting and community organisations, public hospital and 2 medical practices.
At the moment we are looking for a full time General Practitioner to join our team.
During the transition stage while we wait for a permanent GP to come on board, we have used the services of Medical Recruitment in placing Locums with us for short periods. These are some of the evaluations that I have been able to give:
